Where should you store files on the web is a question almost as old as the web itself. Ok, so the obvious answer is on the filesystem of your webserver. On the surface that makes sense, unless you have a busy website with multiple web servers (web heads) and each of them have their own filesystem. Now it’s not so obvious.
